L’OCCITANE SOUTH AFRICA LOYALTY CLUB
1. PURPOSE
The L’Occitane Loyalty Club is managed by Maxiclub.
The L’Occitane Loyalty Club is designed to provide its Members with the benefits described below during retail transactions within store.
Any person applying for membership to the L’Occitane Loyalty Club is deemed to have read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions of Use. Any use contrary to these general terms and conditions may lead to the immediate cancellation of the loyalty account, including its benefits without giving the Member the right to claim any compensation for any reason whatsoever.
L’OCCITANE reserves the right to change elements of the L’Occitane Loyalty Club at any time.
2. DEFINITIONS & IDENTIFICATIONS
Member: Customer joining the L’Occitane Loyalty Club by creating a loyalty account, validating his identifiers and having accepted the General Terms and Conditions of Use of the said Loyalty club
Group: Means L’OCCITANE SOUTH AFRICA, manager of L’Occitane Loyalty Club
Loyalty club: Means the L’Occitane Loyalty Club
“Loyalty Benefits”: Terminology used to describe the reward or gift vouchers
Benefits: Means in general all the benefits, services and/or gifts offered to Members of the L’Occitane Loyalty Club
3. JOINING THE L’OCCITANE LOYALTY CLUB
a. Membership conditions
Membership to the L’Occitane Loyalty Club is free and open to anyone over the age of 18 who has the legal capacity to sign a contract within the meaning of the law of the member’s country of residence.
Membership to the L’Occitane Loyalty Club is free and takes the form of opening an online app account and validating your e-mail address. You must have a valid individual e-mail address in order to join the loyalty club. You will receive a 16 digit unique card number. One e-mail address cannot be used by several Members. The e-mail address and card number act as an identifier to access the loyalty account and benefits of the loyalty club.
The Member must not communicate the password of his loyalty account to any third party, with the exception of the Customer Service or the Technical Service of MAXICLUB or L’OCCITANE SOUTH AFRICA team, in relation to access to his account for exceptional technical reasons. The Member acknowledges that he is responsible for any transaction made from or to his account.
b. Membership terms
You can register for the L’OCCITANE Loyalty Club:
The L’OCCITANE Loyalty Club App is available via the iOS and Android App store.
Card collection in store at one of our 13 Boutique Stores Nationwide.
The customer must provide the necessary and mandatory information requested for the membership (first name, last name, valid e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth). The new Member must accept the General Terms and Conditions of Use of the loyalty club on the app.
4. LOYALTY ACCOUNT
By using the loyalty account the Member can:
View his membership point’s status, provide or update personal information, subscribe to the L’Occitane Loyalty Club newsletters and access current special offers with the loyalty membership discounts.
Any loyalty points not redeemed within 36 months from their accumulation date will automatically expire and be removed from the user's account without any prior notice or compensation.
- Receive points to the value of 3% on transactions done in store with a valid receipt number.
- Points can be redeemed in store only and not online.
- Points are not cash transferrable.
- Discount and voucher codes cannot be combined with any other promotion, sale or special offer in store or online and are only valid standard full-sized products at standard
price, including the loyalty birthday offer, signup vouchers or welcome offers and any other promo code.
- Any loyalty points not redeemed within 36 months from their accumulation date will automatically expire and be removed from the user's account without any prior notice or compensation.
Any change in the information that may be necessary to contact the Member, such as first name, last name, postal address and/or telephone number (with the exception of the e-mail address), must be made by the Member directly in his loyalty account on the L’OCCITANE LOYALTY CLUB APP or by contacting L’OCCITANE SOUTH AFRICA.
A loyalty account is considered active if the Member validates a 16 digit card number. Each Member of the L’Occitane Loyalty Club must personally ensure that the transactions from start date of opening card has been contributed to his loyalty account.
If the Member finds that the points have not correctly contributed to his membership card, they will need to contact L’OCCITANE SOUTH AFRICA via within 1 month from purchase. Any claim in this respect must be sent by e-mail to L’OCCITANE SOUTH AFRICA at info@loccitane.co.za, with all the necessary supporting documents (Store purchased at & invoice of transaction). If the claim is justified, the eligible points will then be added to his membership account.
The eligible purchased have no retroactive effect. They cannot contribute to the membership status of the loyalty account of the Member, for purchased made prior to the creation date of the loyalty account (date of registration of information from the registration form in our computer system).
Only individuals are eligible for loyalty points. Corporates and companies (Corporate gifting & Hotel Amenities) receiving corporate discounts are not eligible for additional loyalty point accumulations.
5. INFORMATION AND CLAIMS
The Member can see all the information related to his membership in the loyalty app (including his membership status, card number, personal details, points balances etc.) on the L’OCCITANE LOYALTY APP.
From his loyalty account, the Member may choose to subscribe to the marketing communications of L’OCCITANE SOUTH AFRICA and those of the L’Occitane Loyalty Club. If the Member no longer wishes to receive marketing communications by e-mail, he may unsubscribe at any time from marketing communications by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the communication or via his account. This unsubscribing has no effect on his membership.
The Member may at any time request termination of his membership in the L’Occitane Loyalty Club. Any request for termination of membership in the Loyalty club must be made by e-mail to L’OCCITANE SOUTH AFRICA at info@loccitane.co.za or by telephone by contacting L’OCCITANE at 010 020 0664. In the event of termination of membership, the end of membership implies:
A complete withdrawal of the Member from the loyalty club by closing the Member’s loyalty account and the end of access to Loyalty club Benefits.
The definitive end of all communication between the Member and the Group in the context of the L’Occitane Loyalty Club. Points are not cash transferable.
