Registration and/or use of our online shopping website constitute your acceptance and agreement to be bound by the Terms of our website, including the additional online shopping terms below.
Online Registration to register you will be required to provide certain information including personal details, payment card details and your delivery address. When registering with us you will be required to provide an email address and a password. Please keep your password private. L’Occitane South Africa accepts no liability for any damages suffered or losses incurred from the use or misuse of your password. You will be required to enter your email address and password each time you visit our online shopping site. To amend any registration particulars please click on “My Account” and edit your details.
Product Sales and Availability
All products displayed on our website are subject to availability and will be delivered only within the Republic of South Africa. All prices shown on our website are quoted in South African Rands and are valid and effective only in the Republic of South Africa. We reserve the right to discontinue or change the specifications of our products and services from time to time without notice. We will inform you as soon as possible if any products or services ordered by you are not available.
You will be charged the prices that are reflected online, subject to availability. The prices include Value-Added Tax. Special promotions may be subject to certain conditions, including stock availability and limited offer stipulations.
Purchases are shipped from our warehouse in Johannesburg by courier to arrive within 4 business days from receipt of your order.
Order deliveries will be made between 9am - 5pm Monday – Friday therefore a business delivery address is preferred.
PO Box addresses are NOT accepted.
Goods will need to be signed for upon delivery. If you cannot be there to sign for your delivery please suggest an alternative i.e. colleague or neighbour.
L'OCCITANE bears no responsibility for goods signed by an alternative person.
L’OCCITANE is not responsible for any damage after delivery.
All claims for shortages or damages must be reported to customer service on the day of delivery.
We DO NOT ship internationally. If you wish to ship an order internationally, please visit our international portal at www.loccitane.com for a list of countries that accept international eCommerce orders.
A standard delivery fee will be charged for each order placed by you at a minimum rate of R100.00 per delivery (4 business days delivery).

What is a CVV/CVC?
The CVV is a 3 or 4 digit code embossed or imprinted on the reverse side of Visa & MasterCard. Visa and MasterCard have been using the CVV since the late 1990's. Where do I find the CVV/CVC?
Visa (three-digit CVV2 - Card Verification Value) & MasterCard (three-digit CVC2 - Card Validation Code) The CVV is the last 3 digits after the credit card number on the back of the card in the signature area.
American Express (four-digit CVC2 - Card Validation Code) The CVC is the last 4 digits after the credit card number on the back of the card in the signature area.
All orders are acknowledged at current pricing. We will bill at price in effect at time of shipping. Prices Product prices listed are current however are subject to change without advanced notice.
Methods of Payment
We will place a holding reserve of funds equal to the total value of your online order against the payment card tendered by you during the check out process. Payment will be effected on finalisation of your order and prior to delivery.
By submitting your order, identity number and payment card details you warrant that you are authorised to make payment with the payment card and that there are sufficient funds available to pay for the order.
We cannot always guarantee availability of stock and will endeavour to deliver a substitute line where possible if you have authorised us to do so. If we are unable to supply each and every item ordered or in the quantities ordered, you nevertheless agree to accept delivery and make payment for the items correctly delivered.
Confirmation of Orders
Orders placed online constitute your offer to purchase subject to these Terms. Your offer is deemed to have been accepted by us when you receive our confirmation of your order. Failure by us to formally confirm or notify acceptance shall not affect the validity of the sale or the enforceability thereof.
L'OCCITANE has appointed RAM Couriers to deliver online orders. Deliveries will be made from Monday-Friday from 6am - 6pm. Excluding weekends and public holidays.
On delivery, customers will receive a delivery invoice which is also shared via email when the order is placed. Any person other than yourself who receives your order at the delivery address is presumed to be authorised to accept delivery on your behalf. Should no-one be in attendance at the time of delivery, RAM Couriers is required to contact the customer. Accordingly, we cannot, to the extent permitted by law, be liable for any damage or loss incurred by reason of any acts or omissions of the deliverer, its directors, employees, sub-contractors, agents, representatives and/or affiliates.
It is L'OCCITANE's intention to satisfy our customers. For this reason we will issue a full refund to the original credit card for any unopened merchandise that is returned within 31 days at the original store that it was purchased.
To return any items purchased from the online store, please email Customer Service on firstname.lastname@example.org assistance.
All returned items must be accompanied by the original receipt and products must be unopened, saleable condition.
L'OCCITANE is not responsible for any damage after delivery.

Strictly no cash refunds will be given, except in cases where the product has been deemed faulty.
If a return is made and no product exchanged for equal or greater value, a store gift card to the value of the exchanged goods will be issued in the store where the transaction took place.
No exchanges or refunds will be given on promotional, discounted or sale items.
L'OCCITANE is not able to process returns of goods that have been purchased through any of our wholesale partners or from abroad. Only products purchased from L'OCCITANE South Africa stores.
