Native to the Far East, citrus aurantium, also known as the bitter orange, has found in the French Riviera an oasis favorable to its development. Specifically in the Grasse region, the French perfume capital, where in spring this fruit tree is adorned with creamy white flowers, prized for their fresh and feminine scent.
In Golfe-Juan Vallauris, Gislaine and Tony Damiano have thus specialized in the culture of this unique flower. Privileging organic farming and artisanal harvesting methods, the pair are committed to respecting this symbol of sweetness and purity, from which an intoxicating essence called neroli is extracted, in the form of an absolute or an essential oil.
A family business since 1941, the pair continues to develop it with passion from their terraced plantation. The two enthusiasts are animated by the same desire to turn the spotlight on to local expertise, and to maintain this regional heritage of great wealth.
